Our Story

Monument Built came to life from a simple ambition — to take the experience I’ve gained across more than 25 years in the trades and use it to help people create homes they’re genuinely proud of. 

 

Hi there, I'm Chris. 
 

My journey started in a small town in Adelaide, where I began working across the building and construction trades. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a wide range of projects, developing a strong appreciation for quality workmanship, attention to detail and doing things properly.
 

I eventually made the move to the Gold Coast, looking for new opportunities and the chance to work within a broader residential and construction market. It was a move that opened the door to new experiences and, ultimately, the opportunity to start something of my own.

Monument Built is the next step in that journey.
 

I wanted to create a business where I could work closely with homeowners across all aspects of their homes — from renovations, extensions and general carpentry through to decks, pergolas and outdoor living spaces. Whether it’s transforming an existing space or creating somewhere new to enjoy, I enjoy the process of taking an idea and turning it into something practical, well built and made to last.
 

I understand that your home is more than just a building, and that any work you undertake is an investment in the way you live. My approach is simple: communicate openly, take pride in the work and treat every home with the same care and attention to detail I would expect in my own.

For me, Monument Built is about doing good work, building lasting relationships and helping people make the most of where they live.
